In The Presence

The spirit flows down around us
Captures the emptiness of our hearts
Filling us with an emotion that is overwhelming
A peace is poured over us and silences our minds
Knowing you in our lives will give us strength to carry on
Living to be a vessel for the spirit to flow through
Our hearts become aligned with the plan of God
Eventually fulfilling the predestined concepts of Christ
We are his creation and work of art
Displaying ourselves as an exhibit to glorify Him

contemplate with this reality

I contemplate with this reality
The struggle is what feeds me
Wrestle with the instability of a plan
Capture the insignificance and hold it in your mind
Being held hostage by the imperfections of a broken heart
Only to comprehend the elastic battle of love
Fighting a war to find a result of peace
An impossible accomplishment of the human mind

Shimmer

All that shimmers in this world is sure to fade Away again....i am so done with this world and what we are "suppose to change"......life hands everyone a bad hand of cards……. what is different is the way each person plays them.....and then there are those who bluff and use their poker face to make everyone think they are happy and content.....in my opinion there is no true happiness and joy is just a word that is used to express a moment when the storm has calmed and you are just caught up in the moment of freedom.......people say that God is a selfish god....but we are not to be selfish....then they say that we are suppose to be imitators of god……I just don’t fully understand the concept….everyone has selfishness within them and it is due to the desire of being independent…..many don’t surrender to god because you have to depend on him and transform your whole existence to a codependent lifestyle….others have an emotional desire to just feel loved…when the drugs and relationships and the other secular acts no longer keep someone content they move on to something else…..many people look to god as their last resort and in doing so find that what they have been looking for was right in front of them the whole time….but rather than living a life that has guidelines and order, many people look for a more liberal option…..in doing so people become burned out and disappointed when what they are flooding their lives with is not satisfying them…….there are people in their retirement age who are still looking for what they want in life and how they can do something to better the world…..i say why waste time in looking for the answer when its so evident that the answer is within you….many people don’t follow their heart instead they follow their mind…..sometimes the most logical thing isn’t the correct thing…..follow your heart because it will take you in the direction that your spirit was meant to travel…..and in doing so you will be shown your plan and purpose for your life on this earth along with your destiny and future……just follow your heart and god will take care of the rest.

Empty Vessel

What it is to become an empty vessel?
It is to bare to the world how poor your insides are,
how empty your heart is, how ignorant your mind is.
It is the baring of this in which one begins to find wholeness.
It cannot happen if the void is enclosed and guarded from being exposed.
It is first with the breaking of our delusions that we can finally find something real.
In searching for what is real one will find
that the only existence of reality is that found in a relationship with god.
In being an empty vessel it is only comprehensive
to invite the spirit of god to inhabit you as a vessel.
In doing so the spirit will flow through you to reach out
to those not yet in tune with the reality of fulfillment in God.

Spiritual photosynthesis


No longer will I look to the world for nutrients

For it is only temporary satisfaction

I can no longer sustain on the artificial euphoria

There is no fulfillment found in a secular appetite

I must resort solely on the adequate blessings of god

Being satisfied by absorbing the presence of the Holy Spirit

Subduing the hunger of my soul by pressing into the word

My thirst is quenched by the mere concept of unconditional love

I embrace the transformation that has begun
